Pinterest never ceases to amaze me. I have seen things on Pinterest that I have never dreamed of. I get ideas and it inspires other ideas and pretty much my whole house is being done off of Pinterest.
Two items were completed this weekend and I am so crazy about both of them. First, one is this antique stove. My father in law came across it and although I was hesitant (only because I had no idea at the time what I would do with it) I agreed and fell in love with it the moment I saw it. Problem was, were would I put it? What would I do with it? We had just about decided we could not use it and I jumped on Pinterest and saw lots of coffee bars made out of them which is JUST WHAT WE NEEDED!! I do not want my coffee pots on the counter and they are too tall for the other cabinets so I present, our new coffee bar :):). I can't get over how adorable it is! All of the original pieces are underneath the granite countertop so when we decide to move it in the fireplace and use it as a gas stove, we can do that. I am so crazy about it and glad I trusted my father in law on this one and grateful he thought of us.
The second piece is our new kitchen island. We have been going back and forth on whether we should even have one. We had the available counter so I started looking at kitchen islands on Pinterest and someone used a sideboard as their island and I LOVED it. I hit Craigslist watching and hoping to find one that we could use and we actually found a beautiful one that was marked down due to dings. Right up our alley :). I added some black to it with Maison Blanche Translucent Glaze with Wrought iron to pull in some black so it would match our kitchen and sealed it and husband added the counter top today and I also present, our new island :).
Both of these ideas came from Pinterest and I couldn't be more thrilled!!
