Karen Leigh is 41 years of age, born and raised in Maryland. She is married to her husband Dean and has two sons, Dean and Matthew. Karen has been actively practicing photography for the past several years. She has only recently began making her work available through the internet. Karen comes from a background of artists, which includes her mother, Carol Lynn Ruth, to whom she credits all of her creativity. She currently works out of her studio in Maryland.

Carol Lynn Ruth 1941 - 2003
Formally of Carol Lynn Studios is a traditional artist with strong roots in abstract realism. She was a BA graduate of Notre Dame in Baltimore Maryland majoring in Studio Art. She has traveled throughout the world, capturing images photographically, or sketching impromptu. She was actively painting and drawing all of her life. She held memberships in the Carroll County Arts Guild, the Carroll County Arts Council, The Frederick County Art Association, the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center and the National Society of Decorative Painters.
Original paintings and works of Carol Lynn Ruth are no longer available for sale, however, Fine Art Prints of her work are available exclusively through Karen Leigh Studios in the Carol Lynn Studios gallery. 50% of all purchases of my mothers works will be donated to Hospice of Carroll County in honor of her memory.
